The City of Belle Plaine received the state’s first award under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Downtown Revitalization Fund. With assistance from ECICOG, the community submitted a successful application for $500,000 and administered the funds to assist with building façade improvements to approximately thirty downtown structures in a 2+ block area, which comprises the community’s central business district.
